George W. Bush sells 20 billion dollars worth of weapons to Saudi Arabia? Thats it, stop the roller coaster, I'm going to be sick!

Sorry for the interruption, but this just in, the United States is officially retarded.  We have just made a deal with Saudi Arabia (of the 9/11, USS Cole fame) to sell them 20 billion dollars worth of weapons.  This is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've heard of in years.  Is there a chance that these weapons won't end up in the hands of Achmed islamic (I have a single eyebrow) fascist?  In case you think theres no way this is possible, that we couldn't possibly be this stupid, heres my link to CNN http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/world/2008/01/14/henry.us.saudi.arms.sale.cnn.  Apparently its to protect Saudi Arabia from Iran.  Now, where have I heard that idea before?  I remember now, somebody thought it was a good idea to give islamic fascists weapons to fight the Soviets.  See Charlie Wilson's war for details.  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0472062/  How did that work out for us?

Now, I know that Iran is far from perfect, but, they do have a democratic system of government, does Saudi Arabia?  No.  So, its interesting to me how we're on the side of the dictators.  Tonight I was watching The Daily Show, and Jon Stewart interviewed Fareed Zakaria (the editor of Newsweek international), he made the observation that America is more likely TO only support democracy in non-strategic countries!  This seems to be true, we are supporting Pakistans new dictator Musharaf, the UAE, until 9/11 the Taliban in Afghanistan, the list goes on and on...... Thus we are stupid, perhaps even retarded.  My suggestion?  STOP ELECTING OFFICIALS WHO KNOW LESS ABOUT WORLD HISTORY THAN THE COMMON FIFTH GRADER!  Sorry for the interruption, everyone can now go back to watching American Idol.
